About Soqoni
A property listings and connection marketplace for Zanzibar.
Soqoni connects buyers, tenants, owners and agents across Zanzibar's property market, with Soqoni Verified listings for buyers and tenants who want extra assurance and Community listings for everyone else.
How verification works
Soqoni Verified listings go through remote, document-based checks — ID, land title, and business registration for Agents — plus automated listing-integrity checks like duplicate-photo detection and price-anomaly flags. No one from Soqoni visits a property in person.
What Soqoni is not
Soqoni is a discovery and connection platform only. It does not process payments, hold funds in escrow, or confirm that a sale or rental has completed — any "in progress" or "completed" status you see is self-reported by the people involved, not verified by Soqoni.
How to use Soqoni
Buying or renting
Browse listings from the homepage, filter by city, type and budget, and save searches or favorite listings once you've registered. From a listing you can request an inspection, request an inspection or a rental, and keep related documents in your account's document vault. If something looks wrong with a listing or a user, file a complaint from your account.
Listing a property
Register as an Owner or Agent, then add your property from "My Properties." Submit it for Soqoni Verification to unlock the Verified badge, or leave it as a Community listing. From there you can track inspection requests, manage rentals, and build your reputation through reviews. Agents also manage a Soqoni subscription from their account.
