What buyers and tenants should know before using Soqoni.
This page is for buyers and tenants browsing Soqoni for a home to buy or rent — a short guide to what to expect and how to protect yourself.
Soqoni Verified vs. Community listings
A Soqoni Verified badge means the listing (or the Agent behind it) passed Soqoni's remote document checks — ID, land title, and business registration for Agents — plus automated integrity checks. Community listings haven't gone through that process; treat them with more caution and do your own extra checks.
Soqoni never holds your money
Soqoni does not process payments or hold deposits, rent, or purchase funds in escrow. Any payment happens directly between you and the owner or agent. Never send money to someone claiming to represent Soqoni itself — Soqoni does not collect payments on behalf of buyers, tenants, owners, or agents.
Do your own due diligence
Before committing to a sale or rental, visit the property, request an inspection through Soqoni, and verify land title and ownership documents yourself. A Verified badge lowers risk but doesn't remove the need to check things yourself.
Reporting a problem
If a listing looks fraudulent, a user is behaving suspiciously, or a transaction has gone wrong, file a complaint from your account. Soqoni's Customer Service and Legal & Compliance staff review complaints and can suspend accounts that violate the Terms & Conditions.
